About Our Founder

Mac McDonald has been active in the technology consulting world since the late 90s – with a particular focus on the Healthcare IT space for the last 10 years. He was inspired to enter this territory after multiple, less-than-perfect personal patient experiences over the years and is dedicated to improving collaboration, engagement, and patient care in healthcare through cloud technologies.

While exploring remote working systems in 2015, he first discovered Salesforce. Intrigued that the platform was so robust and scalable, Mac found it to be more than what he was looking for in a CRM. Shortly thereafter, Salesforce announced Health Cloud and Mac’s eyes lit up!

After further exploration Mac decided he must go to Dreamforce 2015 to learn more about Health Cloud. Overwhelmed, as any Dreamforce first-timer is – and commuting from Oakland to the event in San Francisco due to all the local hotels being booked – Mac stayed focused on Health Cloud and attended most of the healthcare related sessions at the event. He found the seemingly endless possibilities afforded by Health Cloud and felt he had discovered a platform that can truly scale and grow as healthcare works toward Patient-Centered and Value-Based Care. Mac quickly dove into Trailhead, achieved 4 Salesforce Certifications, founded Immerse Solutions, and is now leading the charge to deliver better communication, collaboration, and engagement in healthcare with the Salesforce Platform.

When he is not geeking out on Salesforce and making Healthcare IT work, Mac enjoys fatherhood, adventures with his family, hiking, biking, snowboarding, and golfing.
